Wajam appeared to be a browser toolbar on the web browsers. No matter what kind of browsers you are using, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or Google Chrome, this Wajam virus will install itself without your attention. You may have the same question like them:
1. I'm not sure how Wajam got on my PC ,ive been trying to take it off but it takes hours and have to turn it off, just keeps saying ,wait for it to uninstall,do i need it?

2. So I was downloading a program and it tacked on a bunch of junk I didn't want to download with it. I thought I unticked all of them but somehow a program called Wajam slipped through.I closed the background program in Chrome listed as Wajam but it still pops up. Can someone help me delete this thing?

Windows XP users:
Click "Start", choose "Settings" and click "Control Panel". Locate and click "Add or Remove Programs". Look for "Wajam" select this entry and click Remove.

Removal Guide for Wajam

Solution one:

You'd better remove malicious add-ons on your internet explorer or firefox and Google Chrome.
Google Chrome: Wrench Icon > Tools > Extensions
Mozilla Firefox: Tools > Add-ons (Ctrl+Shift+A)
Internet Explorer: Tools > Manage Add-ons

Solution Two:

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard or right click on the bottom Taskbar to open the Windows Task Manager;End the process of Wajam.exe;

(Why it is random? Well, this is because Wajam is changing its names randomly on the infected computer. So it is really difficult to find the exact name of Wajam.exe application.)

After that, Find out and delete all these associating files as below:

%UserProfile%\Application Data\Wajam
%UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Wajam

Open Registry editor, Find out and remove all these associating registry entries:
Once the Registry Editor is open, search for the registry key
“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wajam.” Right-click this registry key and select Delete.

  1. To clarify, Wajam is not a virus as stated.

The Wajam social search enhancer is an application allowing users to get recommendations from friends on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ whenever they search. Learn more about Wajam here: http://wajam.com/faq/

Wajam may be offered as an add-on as part of a software download, but in every case, you have the opportunity to opt-out of the download. The extension is never secretly added or forced upon the user.
